About us

iGlobetrotter.com is an independent travel website. That means that we can give our honest opinion and tell you exactly what we think.

We believe that travelling should be about discovering new places and cultures. Therefore we aim to dig deeper than most travel guide sites and base our knowledge on locals and their tips, rather than guides by a journalist having spent a few days in a place.

Based in London, but Norwegian at heart, travels in Norway are our specialisation. Our Norwegian guides reflect the insiders’ knowledge and will take you off the beaten tourist track.

We want to support up and coming local photographers. If you have amazing photos of any of our destinations, we would like your shots on our site. We’d be happy to put a link to your website and get your work out there!

We want to hear from you, good or bad – so if you have any comments or questions, This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it !

anetteprofessionalAbout the Editor

Anette Zimowski grew up in Tromso, Northern Norway, but has been living and working in London since 2002.

Having worked as a radio, television and print journalist for both the BBC and the Norwegian national broadcaster, NRK, she finally made the plunge into her passion for travel journalism with the start of iGlobetrotter.com

Anette is according to her friends and family a great travel companion - The sort that will have done all the background research ahead, talked to some locals and memorised random, quirky facts about any destination.

She also has a Master in Health, Population and Society from the London School of Economics as well as a BA in Journalism and Economics from City University, London.

Garnet_polarbearGarnet Roach fell in love with Norway in 2006 when she caught her first cod, fishing off the coast of Gratangen in Northern Norway.

It got even better when that very same fish was served up to her for dinner later in the evening.

Despite having travelled the world, Garnet still feels Norway is one of the most special and alluring places she has visited and she returns whenever she gets the chance.

Her next plan is to head to Spitzbergen in hope of meeting a real (as opposed to stuffed) polarbear. This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
