In this weeklong package including a rental car and accommodation you will get to see some of Norway´s most priced sceneries. The Geiranger and Hardanger fjords, Bergen, the Jostedals Glacier and much much more.



Day 1: Arriving in the Capital, Oslo


A NordicVisitor representative will meet you at Oslo Gardermoen Airport and take you to your accommodation in Oslo city centre.


If you arrive early, you will have the whole day to look around Oslo and some of its many sights. Enjoy the views from the Holmenkollen ski jump arena, or head to Bydgoy to visit the famous viking ship museum.


Spend the night in Oslo.



GeiloDay 2: Tranquil Mountain Villages


Start the day with a visit to the Norwegian Folk Museum in Oslo before heading out of the big city around noon in your rental car.


You will drive up the Hallingdal valley on your way to Geilo, one of Norway´s most well known winter sports resorts, but also a beautiful mountain village in the summer.


Spend the night in a hotel in Geilo.



Day 3: Glaciers, Valleys and Waterfalls


Leaving Geilo behind you will follow through the scenic Hardangervidda National Park until you reach the Hardanger fjord.


On this drive you will pass some truly amazing scenery, such as the Hardanger Joekulen glacier, the highest waterfall in Norway, Voeringfossen, and the narrow Maaboedalen valley.


Ending your spectacular drive in Bergen in the evening, you will spend the night in your hotel or guesthouse here.

Bergen is one of the places in Norway not to be missed.


Its UNESCO listed Bryggen area and beautiful fish market are some of Norway´s most famous sights.


Enjoy the day in Bergen, taking in the cozy feel of the city from one of its many cafes or take the cable car up to the town mountain for excellent views of the area.

towards-sognefjordenDay 5: The Sognefjord


Start the day by driving to Voss, the action sports capital of Norway. Here you can have a go at a vast range of extreme, and not so extreme sports.

Alternatively, head towards the beautiful Aurlandsfjord, and the small village of Flaam, where you can take the famous train journey up to Myrdal and back.


Continuing on your route, you will arrive at the bottom of Norway´s longest and deepest fjord, the Sognefjord.


Enjoy the magnificent views along the way to Sogndal, where you will spend the night.



jostedals-glacierDay 6: Glaciers, Mountains and Fjords


Spend the morning visiting the Jostedals Glacier, the largest ice cap on mainland Europe.


Then follow on past the beautiful Lake Jolster, Loen and Stryn until you arrive in Hellesylt. From here a ferry will take you across the famous emerald Geiranger fjord, one of Norway´s most photographed sceneries.


Spend the night in these amazing surroundings in the Geiranger area.



Day 7: Olympic Spirits in Lillehammer


From Geiranger, the drive back to Oslo is a full on drive.


Therefore, make time to stop off in the olympic town of Lillehammer. The winter olympics were held here in 1994, and you can visit the arena and the olympic village before heading the last leg into Oslo.

Spend the night in Oslo.



Day 8: Heading Home


If you flight leaves in the afternoon, you will have time to explore Oslo a bit more before taking the express train to Oslo Gardermoen Airport.
