Ryanair have their eye on Scandinavia

Low cost airline Ryanair is planning to establish themselves at Copenhagen airport, applying for 23 new routes to and from the Danish capital.

The airline have applied for routes to places like Haugesund, Oslo Rygge, Montpellier, Alicante, Liverpool and Madrid from Kastrup airport´s new Swift terminal.

 

Copenhagen with Cheap Airport Terminal

This autumn Copenhagen Kastrup airport opens the Swift terminal, in a bid to attract low cost airlines to the airport.

 

Airlines such as Air Berlin, EasyJet and Transavia have also made their interest in the new terminal known, writes aftenposten.no.

 

Winter Season Start

If all goes to plan, the 23 new Ryanair routes will start in time for the winter season this year.

 

Whether the plans will become reality is not certain until the company announces them, something which is not likely until August.

 

These are the routes Ryanair have applied for from Copenhagen Kastrup airport:

Belgium: Charleroi

Finland: Lappeenranta, Tampere

France: Montpellier

Holland: Eindhoven

Italy: Brindisi, Pisa, Roma-Ciampino

Morocco: Sais

Norway: Haugesund

Spain: Alicante, Jerez de la Frontera, Madrid, Reus, Santander

UK and Ireland: Dublin, Edinburgh, Liverpool, Prestwick, Shannon

Germany: Dresden, Leipzig
